POOL is excited to host Cruz Garcia and Nathalie Frankowski of WAI Architecture Think Tank this Thursday at 6 pm Pacific. WAI is a studio practicing by questioning the political, historical, and material legacy and imperatives of architecture and urbanism through a panoramic and critical approach. Founded in Brussels during the financial crisis of 2008 by Cruz and Nathalie, WAI is one of their several public engagement platforms.
Cruz and Nathalie will present their recent work, A Manual of Anti-Racist Architecture Education, and discuss how this work permeates their practice and teaching and how it applies to architecture students in general.
Please join us in discussion this Thursday as we think about the role of architecture, pedagogy, and academia towards an anti-racist architecture education and architecture journey.
